This course is designed for anyone responsible for responding to first aid or cardiac emergencies, including security and airline personnel, camp counselors, police, firefighters, teachers, childcare workers, and fitness trainers. It is also beneficial for lay rescuers, workplace responders, and family members of individuals at high risk for sudden cardiac death.

The Heart Saver for K-12 Schools course completion card was created to provide a cost-effective Heart Saver course completion card for K-12 school systems. It signifies that an individual in the K-12 school system has successfully completed the objectives and skills evaluations in accordance with the curricula of the AHA Heart Saver programs.
